MMD has successfully installed and commissioned an 850 Primary Sizer with newly designed rings, a 625 Secondary Sizer and a D7 Plate Feeder in an existing Nickel operation in Venezuela.

In this operation the less than 800mm material in two dimensions is fed to the Primary Sizer via the MMD D7 Plate Feeder after passing though a fixed Grizzly. The outfeed from the Primary Sizer is -250mm which is then fed by a 42” belt to the Secondary Sizer which is achieving a product size of -100mm. The correctly sized material is then carried to the warehouse on a 36” belt where it is dried before processing. During commissioning throughputs of 750 TPH were achieved however this has now been reduced to an average of 550 TPH in line with the capacity of the Stacker Belt. The design parameters for the purchase of the above equipment was to eliminate slaby and oversize material, which was fed from the existing Jaw Crusher to an original MMD Secondary Sizer generating excessive wear and reducing throughput. All design parameters have been met and the Jaw Crusher has been removed from the production circuit.
