Four newly developed 200 centres Sizers have been installed at a plant in Kazakhstan processing Zinc ore at 20TPH.

Test Material Before and After

The customer approached MMD in 2006 to design a machine which would be capable of accepting zinc ore from an existing MMD 500 Series machine and produce a maximum product size of 25mm. MMD responded by initially installing a single 200 Series Sizer to be used as a sampling machine at the plant. In this sampling process material is removed from the conveyor belt by the use of a belt scoop, and placed into the Sizer where it is quickly reduced to 25mm and delivered to the lab ready for testing. Based on the success of this first machine three more machines were subsequently ordered and put into full production, each accepting zinc ore at a regulated feed rate of 20TPH with material sizes of up to 50mm. The 200 Series Sizer quickly reduces the material to a maximum size of 25mm, ready for further processing at the plant.
