A New installation of an MMD Plate feeder has been ordered for a cement plant in the United Kingdom to replace an existing feeder unit currently in operation.
Material Delivered onto Plate Feeder and into Secondary Sizer |
Back in 1984, an MMD 750 series sizer was installed at the cement plant to reduce primary sized Limestone from 350mm down to 100mm, at throughput rates of upto 1000TPH. After more than 20years of the MMD sizer and system working successfully, the plant has decided to replace some of its old equipment with modern equipment, the first of which being the plate feeder.
The replacement MMD D4 Heavy Duty Apron Plate Feeder accepts 300mm lumps of limestone dropped from the gyratory crusher and delivers a regulated feed of up to 1200TPH to the secondary sizer via a belt conveyor. The MMD 750 Series Secondary Sizer reduces the material down further to a nominal product of 100mm, which is now ready to be delivered to the stockpile via the second belt conveyor.
The Feeder is due to be delivered and installed in January 2008.
